Work in Progress!

My original sketch
Working it out on a tiny scale!

Poloroid of the almost complete set (still needs clouds and flying things)
The wonderful people at Crown commissioned to me to make a colourful paper London for their Sony photography exhibition in SOMERSET HOUSE.... So, with the help of set builders Beanie and Fran, and paper crafter Miss Amy Rhian, I constructed a 8 ft by 15 odd ft Robot Cat City based on London. Within the scene you can spot spinning robot buildings, a floating hot air balloon, cranes, boats, buses and the famous landmarks - St Pauls, the Gherkin, Big Ben, and a moving London Eye. The city is inhabited by bizarre robot creatures, cats and birds and a dog... there's even a robot Boris in there if you can find him! Pop along to Somerset House to see for yourself (I'll put up finished pictures soon) its from 26th to 31st April. Thanks so much to Casey, Charlotte, Jem and of course the most amazing set makers of all time Beanie, Fran and Amy!

Dino

Unfortunately this idea (with the dinosaur) got scrapped by the Sony people but thought I'd post my original sketch and maquette anyway (the little white person shows the scale of how big a real person would be!) The image above is one design is for some vinyl that's also been commissioned.

Germaine Walker Party!

I was asked by the lovely people at photographers agent Germaine Walker to make a glittery 'gameshow' area for their launch party of their new photography studio! With the help of the wonderful Amy Butler and Sarah Parker we made a collection of fancy dress, hats, instruments and random bits for guests to play around with. Here's some pictures from the party! more photos here
